I tried a New 3" Win XRHD 1.75 oz #6 in my 870 and IC.665

192 in 10" and a total of 238 in 13".

Both of those beat my numbers with 3" 2 oz Magnum Blend in the same setup.  They also beat my numbers with H13 6's.  In fact, they beat every other 3" shell I've tried besides H13 3-2-7.

Thats a great pattern!!   Thats 50% of the total pellets in that shell; Did you compare them to the others in the same weather conditions? Its kind of hard to compare them if they arent shot in the same patterning session under the same conditions.

Correction:  I was mistaken, it was the New XRHD, not the original.

Even better!!!

H13 3-2-6 150's
H13 3-1.75-6 155
Win Sup HV 3-1.75-5 90-116
XRHD 3-1.75-6 192
XRHD 3-1.75-5 140's

Thanks for all that info. Have you polished the barrel. I am getting a higher numbers with my 11-87 21" 3" chamber with the H-13 3-2-6 loads.

I deep cleaned and polished the 28" barrel about a year and a half ago.  I haven't done it again, because it seems to be doing better and better with the IC.665 in it.  Other chokes have done well with certain shells, but it seems like this choke has been my best all-around performer in this barrel.

I also have a .675 non-ported IC choke, but it simply doesn't approach the pattern density of the .665 ported choke.  I like the big even coverage of the .675 if I know that my range is under 40 yards, but at 40 yards and beyond, the .665 wins.

Its no secret Im a big fan of the Winchester Extended range. I shoot the same load out of a 665 indian creek  in a stoeger m2000 and its a great pattern. Never counted pellets....never felt I had too. At 55 yards an 8X11 sheet of paper is covered corner to corner.....dead turkey. They seem like they hit with more authority than the H13 6s,

I use an  big orange rubber traffic cone, with weight bottom. Mounted a back board on it that I push pin targets onto. H13 will rock the cone at 50. Winchesters will knock it over and sometimes backwards at 50.
