Alright men - we have all gotten re-introduced and posted trophy pictures and some turkey call pictures - how about a firearms picture thread - what shotguns are you planning to use in the contest.  Any details of chokes, sights, loads, etc., will make it more interesting.
"I admire a good turkey hunter chiefly because such a man displays qualities that we usually associate with pioneer America-patience, enthusiasm, woodcraft, game sense, and a quiet hardihood undaunted by rain, by cold, by long tough miles, by disappointment."

I have two turkey hunting shotguns; a Browning BPS NWTF turkey model and a Winchester M1300.  I bought the BPS new before last season to replace a Mossberg 535.  The Winchester was my Dad's Waterfowl gun (had a 30" barrel) - he gave me several of his guns when he quit hunting.  I do a fair amount of mentoring of young and/or new hunters - so I found a 22" barrel for the 1300, a Pure Gold .670 choke tube, and bought some Williams Fire-sites and set it up as my "second" or back-up shotgun.   The BPS is my hands down favorite - it just fits perfect, about a pound heavier than my old Mossberg due to the steel receiver, but much more comfortable to shoot than either the old Mossberg or the M1300.  The Browning has a Pure Gold .670 too (I came across a deal last year in Virginia - Greentop was closing them out for $39.00 and I bought one for each shotgun). I have been shooting Hevi-Shot 3" magnum #6, but bought some 5-6-7 blended Hevi-Shot and some #5 Hevi-Shot; going to pattern again soon.  That pretty well sums up my battery - what are you gentlemen shooting?

I have the Mossberg 535 ATS Tactical Turkey 12ga in Mossy Oak Break-up. It has a Kicks Gobblin Thunder choke in .665 I also have a Simmon's Black Diamond scope on it. I shoot the Winchester High Velocity loads in 3in 5 shot. Im not sure how many shot are in a 10in circle at 40yrds, I've never counted but at 40yrds I have a pattern the size of a basketball!! This is an awesome gun, choke tube and shot combo.

This year I will be using the Mossberg 535 ATS Tactical Turkey.  Stock xxfull choke with Winchester Supreme 3.5" #4s.  I want to upgrade my choke eventually but a little short on cash for this year so it will have to wait.  Once I get bird #1 on the ground I'm planning on taking out my Hoyt Vectrix.  The Beeman ICS Hunters tipped with Rage 2 blades are deadly.

Gun looking turkey guns. Keep them coming.

Here is a picure of my 11-87 with a 21" vent rib barrel and my 2004 opening day gobbler.

Pretty much just a plain old 835.  .680 Carlsons choke and a red dot. It's a proven killer with Fed FC lead 3.5" 2.25 #4 or #5 or Hevi 3.5" 2.25 #5 or #6.  Considering addition of a new .670 choke before season starts.

This is my 870 Express Mag I trade any old Mossberg 500 for. It gonna be a turkey killer and a deer killer.  I put the UTA scope saddle and Simmons Red Dot on it.
