Wanting to get a mossberg sa28 tactical turkey but I have come to prefer the regular stock over the pistol grips, anyone know if you can swap out to a regular stock

skimerhorn

If you can find a serial number for a tri star sub gauge give them a call a d order one. The stocks are interchangeable but I believe they won't sell you one without a serial number

RiverRoost

Would mossberg not sell a regular stock in greenleaf like the sa28 is just without the pistol grip

DUPREE

I have a sa28 compact for my daughter. Mossberg will not sell me a full length stock, or a pistol grip stock for it. Said they receive the guns fully assembled from oversees and do have have parts stateside. I called tristar and they won't sell me a viper g2 stock without a serial number. I've since found someone with a serial number I can borrow, but haven't called tristar back.

Side note, the sa28 with a carlsons .520 and foxtrot 1 3/8pz of 9.5s is impressive.

I called Tristar this week to order a stock to swap off and on for my bantam sa-28 stock; $375 for the stock! I kindly passed.

I'd bet there's someone out there that would trade you if you asked in the right place.

This is just my opinion, I have both regular stock and pistol grip stocks for turkey hunting, and I will take the pistol grip stock over the regular stock period...

You have more control of the gun and it gets your thumb out of your line of sight ... IMO
