Early this month I made a post about upgrading some gear. I am curious on peoples opinon on this turkey vest. Is the seat comfortable for longer sits? What are the pros and cons of this vest.

I like mine OK. Im smaller framed and it has alot of adjustment range and fits me perfectly. The seat is mediocre...I removed it and carry a Glenda Green innertube seat instead. Its not for the fella that carries everything and the kitchen sink, but definitely has sufficient storage.

Great vest. I put a thicker cushion in the seat, easy to do with the zipper. Vest is perfect for what I carry, very comfortable and adjustable.

I'm a huge simp for the sitka vest.  I own two, I bought one as a backup in case they discontinue them, that is how much I like it.  Before I tried one, I was worried about the seat too.  I have a cabelas tactical tat'r and a cabelas speed seat both with big cushy seats, and when I bought the sitka I bought a bunch of vests that I couldn't find in person.  I tested them all in my living room watching tv and the sitka did roughly as good as any of them.  Comparing in the woods to the cabelas which is the gold standard in my opinion, if you sit on the sitka for 1 minute then turn around and sit on the cabelas for 1 minute yeah the cabelas is going to feel better, no doubt about it.  After several minutes they feel about the same.  I don't get any more time from the cabelas on longer sits before getting uncomfortable.

I'm glad to see this discussion... I'm really close to snagging one myself in the earth color. The seat was the biggest concern for as I suffer from lack of derrière

I agree about the seat. I found it to be no less comfortable than others after sitting for a few minutes.

What I like most about the vest is how it adjusts over the shoulders.

Lots of topics on it with a lot of good information

If you like a vest with no bulk, that can be adjusted perfectly to your chest, and you don't bring more calls than you need..... it's perfect
