I just got one of these new Henry's in Mossey Oak, Obsession, and I was wondering if anybody else is shooting one of these guns. I'd like to try a different choke on this set up, not that there's anything wrong with the factory choke that they give you with the gun, but I'm always looking for an improvement. Any suggestions or personal experiences would be very helpful! Thanks!

I have the 12 ga turkey model. Shooting lead and the choke came with it. No issues and killed a bird with it last year.
Also have the 410 regular model. Just got a Carlson choke and once I found the right load it shoots great too. It liked Apex. I tried Burgess creek, Verdict but neither great until the Apex

Great that you got one with yours! I really like this gun and I am excited to use it this year. I ordered a holosun 507 for it and that's what I'm gonna be using for the optic on this one. I was thinking about an Indian creek .660 for the choke, but would like to hear what's working for other members here.

Bowguy

I put a scope on 12ga but prism on the other. Just put another gun together that also got a prism. It's crazy no one uses one. Best sights for turkey imo.
Even if the optics fail you have an etched reticle. Imagine scope reticle although it's typically a chevron, circle, etc dependent on sight. If you want to light the reticle you can but never a starburst or trailing effect if your eyes aren't perfect

The Henry website says they are. I am pretty sure that is new as when I looked at them before they were not.

Best triggers I've ever seen on a shotgun too.

knifeshark

Yes, the trigger is pretty special on the Henry, mine breaks at 5 pounds which is pretty sweet! :fud:

Don if you're referring to the optics, I'm not sure as I'm shooting a scope on one n prism mounted to rails. I'd think not though as they're not cut to force a red dot,if that's what you're thinking.  lower.

It's not just the weight. No creep, breaks clean, about no overtravel. Just super nice.

I would prefer to shoot just the brad on the gun.

What's a brad? Bead? The turkey model has adjustable irons. The non turkey come w beads. If you get the non brass one it's plenty acceptable
