So someone gave me a new Sitka Equinox turkey vest.  Any experiences or thoughts on this vest?

Love mine. Fits great, comfortable, all the room I need without filling pockets to fill pockets, etc.

Will be trying one this season. I did add some memory foam to the seat. Fits well and love the pocket layout.

Like it a lot, the bird tote feature works great and is not talked about much, also starting using a water bladder and like it as well, it packs it nicely!

No real negatives unless you line to carry tons  of stuff!

Nice gift to get!

Looks very ergonomic and user friendly...

Were I in the market to purchase one, I would look at  the Kuiu Rival...  Also ergonomic, but it does come with a backpack to tote decoys, or more importantly a harvested bird.  (I have not liked any turkey totes for hauling birds long distances).

Both vests look good, but I would favor the Kuiu sight unseen.  Were someone to give me a Sitka, that would likely be my new vest though!!!!
Did I do that?

I'm gonna use it some this year.  I like the minimalist design.  Hope the seat is comfortable.

I guess the best thing that I can say about the Sitka vest is this - if you ever find anything in life that works out perfectly for you, you better buy a spare, because surely someone will either change it or discontinue it.  So I own 2 Sitka vests.  Freaking love 'em.

This is why I own two of the rng 300 vests

I also liked it, until I broke it and got a real tote.

OP, it's a great vest if your a minimalist, very similar to the RnG.  If you like to carry a lot, probably won't be for you

That sucks about the tote, mine has seen some use and mileage with no issues yet, I have a real tote from before but haven't used it since getting the vest.

I bought the Sitka on sale last year as my RNG 300 was/is looking a little rough. I really like it. I wish it had the pocket layout of the new KUIU(almost identical to RNG). The seat on the Sitka is pretty good to me. The KUIU seat looks absolutely terrible.

I'm always on the search for my "perfect " vest. I've been through ALOT of vests in my search and as much as I hate to say it the Sitka vest meets and exceeds all my needs. I say I hate to say it,because I've never been a fan of Sitka as a brand, but it is the "perfect " vest for my needs.
