Anyone tried the Air Pod Pro's for hearing aides yet?

Has anyone tried the new Airpod Pro's with the hearing aide function for a hunting scenario yet?  Wondering if it would be worth trying versus spending much more money on Tetra's.

I have some rather expensive daily wear hearing aids.  They don't help much at all in the turkey woods.  Couldn't hear some gobbles a couple hundred yards off even with them turned away up on my custom "outdoors" setting.  It's certainly worth a try tho, I hope a low cost solution is found.

The AirPod Pros are better than nothing but the Tetra's are game changers.

Just started wearing hearing aids for every day use. Sure hope they'll be an improvement in the woods also. Following these posts in case they don't for future purchases though.

Can you tell DIRECTIONALLY with airport or tetras what direction a bird is gobbling ?.

Yes.  Being able to tell the direction is one of the main things that I really like ability them.

My hearing is about 50% unaided.  Especially high and mid range. 
Tetra at least triples my gobble hearing range.  In hunting, I heard every distant gobble my teen grandson heard.  And his hearing has proven quite good on that front.

For the record, I am not a Terra sales guy, just a very happy customer.  They gave me extra years in the turkey woods.  It was so hard to find birds, especially in new territory that I was considering ceasing travel hunting until I found them.

I can tell direction with Tetra's on better than off. I cannot speak to Air Pod.

I suffer from pretty bad tinnitus, worse in my left ear.  I have moderate loss in the left ear, and mild to moderate loss in the right.

I do not know how much further I can hear birds, but it is probably 3-4 times as far as without them...  I can hear birds now that I do not even consider going after.  Also... With the Tetra's in, my tinnitus is vastly if not totally reduced. (Mine were customized to my hearing loss in each ear).  Also, I can hear equally well in each ear with them on (which is really cool for someone with a "bad" ear).

I can also hear sounds of closer birds I could not previously hear (such as quiet clucks, or walking birds).  Drumming, not so much...  I would say no difference in my ability to discern drumming...  I did have them updated to increase the amplification of drumming frequency, but have not yet been able to put the update to the test.  Honestly, I do think they work better for higher frequency than lower...

Are they worth the money?  Maybe not for some...  But they have made a significant difference in my enjoyment for me of hunting, being able to hear the world around me...  If I forgot them, I'd be as likely to turn around to get my Tetra's as I would my gun at this point.  Going hunting without them would be like going to the prom without pants.

I just got a pair of the Air Pod 2. Haven't used them hunting yet, but I can definitely say the hearing aid function works. Only used it at home and the office but it picks up ambient sounds that I wasn't hearing before and I don't have that bad of hearing. We'll see how it does in the turkey woods, but I am optimistic that it will help based on my limited use.
