Mossberg Mini Super Bantam patterns and question.

Above I've posted pictures of a pattern test I preformed at 40 yards using the factory full, Jebs .555 or the Jebs .565. The ammo used was Federal TSS #9 (3") and the Federal Reduced recoil (2 3/4").

I plan to polish the barrels this week and see if there is a better outcome but I wanted to see what everyone's opinion was so far. I have never used TSS or a 20 guage so I don't know what it takes to bring one down.

The maximum I got in the 10" was 177 with the Jebs 565.

Second was 164 in the 10" with the Jebs 555, however it looks like the shot is a little high right and could have scored better.

Keep in mind my plan is to shoot much closer than 40, I tested there because it seems common on this forum. It would just be nice to know that if I misjudged a distance that the job would get done.

Would I be wrong in saying that all of these turkeys would be dead?

Those turkey targets are cool to look at, but they're not great for determining your pattern. 

Get you some big rolls of paper (or use the backside of old Christmas wrapping paper) and cut them about 3ft x 3ft.  Shoot it at 20 and forty and then count the pellets based on the center of your pattern. 

It's possible your POI isn't the same as your POA. Which will require an adjustable sight. 

200+ in the 10 at 40 should be pretty easy.

definitely check POA/POI with cheap loads 15-20yds.

I am unable to see the pictures in your post, but you have gotten good advice about shooting at paper large enough to capture all of the pattern - at least 36' x 36". I use 48" x 48".

I would also shoot a quality brand of ammunition (not Federal). Apex or Foxtrot will likely improve your numbers considerably.

Agree with bigger paper, even with the Federal TSS 9's I would expect 200-250 in the 10".

This is the only shot I've patterned with this load, it's a 3" 2oz strait 9#s with a dirty barrel right after a quail hunt. I drew the circles after the shot I just to get a ballpark pattern. measured with a tape 40 yards, I think it can be improved a lot but I don't have any problem hunting as is

I polished the barrel and used bigger paper to sight in and I got 193 in the 10" with the 1-1/2oz federal. I got all of the stuff to load my own shells, so I will be trying that next.

2oz of T9 is a lot of pellets..
