Haven't seen many posts on this.  Are guys still buying and selling the shot?  Has anything changed?

I don't keep up with TSS in terms of the guys/companies that sell the shot itself, but the price of "commercial" TSS shells has gone up by nearly 100% in the last couple of years, it seems.  That in itself would indicate that "supply and demand" has gotten out of whack...which, in turn, would make me believe that the guys selling the shot have (or are going to) adjust their prices upward, as well...that is assuming they are still able to obtain the TSS shot for their inventories.

As for "anything changing", I suspect a lot of folks who were reluctantly paying $7-$8 a shell for TSS loads a couple of years ago...and are now looking at double that cost...are going to be returning to shooting lead loads pretty pronto. As one who has been shooting TSS for many years now and has been sold on its effectiveness, I now have found myself looking at the "upper end" lead loads a little more favorably this year after perusing the current prices of TSS loads.

I'm not seeing a 100% increase anywhere on TSS. I check prices in every store I go into and watch online. Maybe a few dollar increase, but no where near a 100% increase.

I was in Academy this morning and they had Federal, Winchester and Remington in 20g for $40.

Same sellers still around, I saw a slight increase in price from a supplier recently, slept on buying shot a month ago and he went up 5 bux a lb on his latest order. But he is now basically in line with the next cheapest option.

Seems $42lb is as cheap as it gets currently.

I am going to order a bunch, I do not see it staying the same price as now and definitely not getting cheaper!

Doesn't TSS come mainly from China?

If you want it, better be getting it.

There's some still available. When these post on this and other forums started to become panicky I checked a major outlet.  410 Apex Ninja 74.99 for 10.  Free shipping. Ordered 10 to share with a friend. Arrived at around noon today.  Betting when the NWTF shenanigans is over there won't be a TSS load available in the western hemisphere.

75$ for half a pound of shot??? That's freaking crazy!

Thank goodness it's free shipping...

Looked at a few other manufacturer's sites.  Most now showing "SOLD OUT" on the smaller gauges.  Let the games begin.   :turkey2:

I traded messages with the guy that owns Fox Trot a couple weeks ago and he said his website is showing out of stock because of late dealer orders and prep for the NWTF convention coming up. I also traded messages with the owner of Satties and got basically the same story.

After the carney in Nashvegas we'll have a better understanding of what is going on.

I've never looked at Foxtrot website and seen much of anything in stock!

The reason they like to sell at the NWTF, they avoid all that shipping of the TSS. The booth is a tax write-off for advertising etc..

Still buying the shot and loading my own. Started in 2016 and the price for one pound from Hal was $53. On his site right now it's $52 for a pound.

Wow that's actually a great deal.  I just priced 2kg = 4.4# direct from China and it's $42 per pound.

If you can call them inside 35 yards, old school lead kills them just as dead as TSS
