Loctite

I'm surprised by this but I saw on another forum guys think loc tite is forever. I work commercial construction and in the past few weeks informed guys of this as well.
Loctite is not forever. The blue you can basically break by hand or if need be heat the screw with say a soldering gun tip. It'll soften the loctite.
Just an fyi for guys may be hesitant to put it on screws for their sights.

Agree -  I put blue loctite on all scope bases and mounts for red dots. The only place I don't use it is on scope ring screws.

I use the purple loctite on my scope mounts and bases, just torque rings to spec.

I use it as needed, on some items, I like using the blue paste type sticks.

I agree I don't use it on scope ring screws

I use blue loctite too.  Never had a problem getting a screw out if needed to make a change.

Guys not so much the color it's the applying heat softens the loctite so you can get screws out again

Purple is the lowest strength and doesn't require any heat to break it free.

You can use it on the screws that hold the rings to the base. but not on the screws that hold the rings on the scope tube. The Loctite will add lubrication and it's easy to over torque them and possible damage the scope tube.

I do not use loc tight any more.

"Properly" align, mount and torque screws and bolts.

I always use Blue which is labeled "Removable". Properly torqued screws are easily removable using the blue. Thanks Mike, if I do get a stubborn one I will use your tactic to remove it. Good info...

A hair dryer will heat the blue up enough to make it gummy and easy to remove.
