Just picked up an older Winchester 1300 12GA. Got a pretty good deal on it, and would like to set it up and try to harvest a gobbler with it this upcoming spring. Will probably be shooting 2 3/4 TSS #9 loads. Just curious for those that have one, or have shot one what chokes you've seen shoot well?

Thanks in advance.

Personally, I'd start with a IC .660. I'm shooting an H&R single with Win threads, and I shoot 2.75" TSS Foxtrot straight 8s through it with a IC .660.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

Sit down wrong, and you're beat. Jim Spencer                          Don't go this year where Youtubers went last year.

Pretty sweet looking rig. Are you shooting the Twisters or Mini Twisters?

Mini with 1 5/8oz of straight 8s.

Mine with 22in barrel shoots very good with lead 2 3/4 6s and older longbeards in 6s with primos titewad

For the price it's hard to argue against the performance of the Tightwads

I have a bunch of 1300's and probably 20 different chokes. I shoot longbeard lead and foxtrot 8 or 9's most of them shoot great with jebs. I believe its 660. I can check tomorrow and let you know for sure. The longbeards also love the Carlson longbeards choke. If you are using some type of optik or sight you will also be happy with IC. I shoot front bead and the POI was not POA so I did not stick with the IC but it did shoot well.

I appreciate it. I really like Jebs, but was just curious on whether the gun would like it or not. I know IC seems to be a popular choice too. I'll be running a Holosun red dot so POI shouldn't be an issue.
