Unicoi Updates?

My understanding is that some call makers will set up and even sell calls beginning around 3 PM on Thursday.

It looks like Helen is looking at 3-6" of snow rolling in Friday with a winter storm watch in effect from Friday 7AM until Saturday 7AM.

Any word on plans to press ahead as planned or alter the schedule?

I'm coming Thursday, but based on the driving habits of my native Carolineans, will not be on the road Friday.

My FB is used to just check things out, buy stuff, etc.. I have no posts or photo, so I haven't been allowed to join Unicoi Call Makers and it's a private group.

It's still going on as planned, some of the call makers are already there and they have the show room set up. I'm heading that way tomorrow afternoon myself.

Unfortunately I called the lodge earlier this morning and canceled my reservation. They are calling for up to 8 inches of snow here at my house. I just couldn't bring myself to leave my wife here alone with our autistic son in case the power goes out. I've been looking forward to getting a KP trumpet since I made my reservation last January, hopefully next year I can finally get one.

I hope that you are able to get you a KP Trumpet.  They are flat out awesome.  He's a dadgum good guy to boot. Also they are addictive!!! I bet that your family appreciates you and knows how lucky they are!!! Keep them safe!

There were plenty of call makers and people there today when I left at 5:30. Decided to head back home before the storm hit.
