I picked up one each of the 870 and 11-87 original bottomland Remingtons made in the early 90s. what has everyone having luck for chkes and turkey loads for in these guns

James gang

I have a few of the 11-87s I like the Indian Creek.665 with long beard #5s.Mine are all 21in barrel they made them with longer barrels also.

Spring Creek Calls

I'll assume they are 12 gauge guns and a safe bet would be a 665-675 choke   and 2-3/4" TSS 9's. Carlson, Trulock or Indian Creek would be good choices for the choke. Foxtrot, Apex or Burgess Creek for the ammo.

I have an 870 Special purpose Mag in Bottomland with a 26-inch barrel. I have a hevi-shot choke which I think is .667 constriction.  It absolutely loves the 3" 2oz #6 Hevi-13 #6.  I know they no longer make this shell but this is what shoots best out of my gun.

Indian Creek .665 in the 21 inch barrel shoots 3 inch Longbeard 6's real well. Also shoots 3 inch #9 2 oz Fox Trot TSS real well. Good luck....

665 is a good starting point and will do all you want ...

Will

I have an 870 and it has a great pattern when shooting Hevi Shot Mag Blend from a Rhino .660 choke.

I own 15 Original Bottomland 870's and 11/87's all shoot best with an Indian Creek.665
