Just got back from 6 days at my hunt camp in SC. Hunted 5 because 1 day was raining hard all day. In 5 days of hunting, I saw 3 jakes and 3 hens, and never heard a gobble. In the area I hunt in the Lowcountry , turkey rights are exceedingly hard to come by, and I only had 2 small tracts to hunt on. This year it just wasn't happening. Not sure I'll ever be going back there for turkeys unless we get some more land.
Back home now. Had honey do's today and likely tomorrow, but after that I'm going back into the woods.
