Barrel Sticker/Decal?

I've never understood the appeal of bright white or neon decals on barrels and stocks. I'm trying to hide from turkeys and kill them, not advertise to them what I'm about to shoot them with.

Why do I have the need to put a "Barrel Sticker" on my shotgun or any gun for that matter? I know what firearm I am carrying! I don't suffer from Alzheimer's, but I do have bouts of "Sometimers".
My Sometimers kicks in a lot when my wife tells me something to do around the house or might  interfere with turkey, deer hunting or fishing.

FYI...You can get online and find what you are looking for pretty easily and, at a glance, it appears the pricing is quite reasonable. 
When OG first started, there was a fellow that would make custom barrel stickers and was very reasonable in his pricing.  I can't remember his name (he might be found in the oldest archives) and since I haven't seen him mentioned in years, I suspect he may be "gone".   I thought it was a unique and clever idea at the time and I had him make me several stickers in camo-compatible colors and they are still on my guns and have been very durable.

When you said barrel stickers I thought you meant these. My state requires that every turkey hunter must have a safety sticker that is visible when sighting down the barrel.

Of course, in actuality, I will hunt with someone with a barrel sticker.  At least once.
