Another big mail day

This one has been worth the wait for sure!  I had been following Matt Mclain's call making on here for a while and I knew he liked working with domestic woods.  One I didn't think he'd worked with yet is mountain mahogany.  This wood is hard and dense and is right behind desert ironwood in those categories for domestic woods.  I had some and had access to more, so I sent Matt some to turn and I asked him to make me a trumpet from what I sent him.  This thing is awesome!  Matt Mclain is synonymous with craftsmanship from what I have gathered and now I can experience it first hand.  I played this call right out of the box with ease!

It's hard to find.  It's a shrub at higher elevations in the western U.S.  The shrub is not rare, just hard to get to and pieces are small so few folks go after it.
