Vortex venom issue

I've had this sight mounted for 3 seasons with no issues then it just quit working. I took it off the gun and it worked again so I mounted it back on the gun and nothing. I realized that when I tightened the mounting screw on the right side it would turn off and as soon as I loosened the screw and turned it back on it would function again. I'm sending it back for warranty work but was curious if anybody had a similar issue.
