My good buddy Cameron Callaway placed in the top 5 once again in Category 15 aka Amateur Open Air Trumpet at Nationals. He has been consistent every year for the past few years.  Cameron sent me a trumpet recently and for my playing style it is good to go and his work is far from Amateur.

No doubt, his calls are fire and well deserved.  I had his call a month before making this post.  In my opinion his calls are choked just right , have a good even back pressure and run smooth.  Open Air Trumpet is an amateur category but his calls are far from it.  Cameron is my buddy and I'm so freaking proud of him.  If you don't have one of his calls get one, you won't be disappointed.

Very expensive call. That NWTF Silent auction is getting more expensive every year! A person in most cases can purchase for less money from the callmaker. I guess they are donating to the turkeys. (I hope!)

That entire NWTF silent auction is going bonkers! I have never seen bids so high. I guess turkey call inflation is definitely higher then the national average. Hopefully, good for the turkeys!

That is just all the wealthy NWTF collectors! Money is like water to them. I'm happy for the callmakers getting recognition and the turkeys getting support funds.

Just received an African Blackwood trumpet from Cameron and it's an outstanding trumpet. Should have known that when Seth was endorsing him. Great to deal with and would highly recommended him.
