My 50 yr quest for the ultimate sling is over

I think I've finally found what I've been looking for all these years. I carried my Midland while running traps and deer scouting today for several hours and I was able to go completely hands free and it was very comfortable. Weighs 3 oz and is well vented so it will be great on warm spring hunts. I confess that I am a weight weenie and the only other slings that came close to this were too heavy for my taste.

Tail Feathers

I've seen that one and considered it.  It's very thin and I wondered about durability but at the price point, it's worth a try.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

The thin part actually feels more durable than many of the slings I've tried. I expect the stitching attaching it to the webbing will be the failure point, but that is true of most slings.

I bought one a few months ago and have been using it on my deer rifle ... A fine light weight sling ...

I like that!

Not to derail this thread, but where might I be able to buy the tape or wrap that you have on this gun?  I don't need Kryptic camo, just plain woodland or Mossy Oak would do.

Thanks!

That's an awesome rig John. Looks great and lighter is always better.

The one that I use is actually called "The Ultimate Gun Sling!!! I made an order a couple years ago and I messed up the order. The actual owner called me to double check the order. They cling to your shoulder with plenty of shock absorbing .

Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God.

No stretch in this one. It is so thin that it would likely compromise the strength. That is one trade-off I'm ok with if it lasts.

Looking at the durability tests I don't think it will be an issue!

I may try one but need to weigh my current sling.

Got the ultimate sling from Glenda Green at Unicoi. Rifle or shotgun, can't get any lighter or more durable.
