Has anyone shot or had any luck with Salt Creek Ammo? Just picked up a Mossberg 940 Pro 12 GA, and was thinking about trying it.

I shot it last spring and had great results. Customer service second to none. They really put in the work to provide great shells

The 28 gauge loads are high quality. My wife and I tried some with great results out of our IC .525 chokes. Z

They will not ship to some states, New Jersey being one. Would love to try them, but they won't ship, only to FFL dealer. It is not illegal to ship here to individuals,  you just need to give a copy of FID card, and they do some paperwork I was told. There are other comparable dealers that will take the time to do it. That's where I shop.....

I have had great luck with Foxtrot and Apex. Great ammo, and very good customer service......good luck

I shoot handloads, but have several buddies who are shooting Salt Creek and Verdict who are pleased. As far as Verdict, everyone that I know who is shooting Verdict has found in their guns (probably not true for every gun) that the Verdict is outshooting the Apex. So maybe check them out as well as Salt Creek.

Also, have to agree with Mike making a good point, with a bigger bore 12 - you might could even stay with lead. But for 20 and below I personally stay with the TSS.

For sure no need, but personally I'm done shooting 2 oz. or better lead loads. While I'm back on the 12 ga. platform, I switched to TSS running Foxtrot's Mini Twisters.

Foxtrot's Mini Twisters are 2.75" load with 1 5/8th oz. of TSS straight 8s..."a speed load that is easy on your shoulder." That is a fast and devastating load I found patterns well with a IC .660. Likely will put my 20 gauge up for sale as I missed carrying this little single 12 gauge gun.

A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

Foxtrot makes a darn good load for sure.....that's a fine looking gun there!

Thanks for posting the picture - I like your gun and can only imagine the damage those eights do to a Tom's head. Probably getting complete pass throughs in some cases. I might have to dig out my twelve which has an IC .665 and get some of those mini twisters and take them hunting with me. Have not caried anything bigger than a .20 for a while now and my .12 gauge I carried for so long has been neglected.

topnotch

Have shot their 16 and 410 gauge ammo, found it to be compatible with foxtrot and apex ammo. Really like the 410 round in 10 shot they have.

They have great customer service and will make you any reasonable load combination you want. I've tried 12 and .410 and they both won the starting spots compared to the other brands I tried.
