Yeah, Desert Ironwood is always a looker. I hardly ever turn Cocobolo, and thought this one had cool color to it.

Me too....I have only used it on a few trumpets so far, but they have sounded great, pretty musical wood for sure.

Good eye.....They are not that different, but do flare a tad more. I have to be super careful when trying to make these bells, as one little slip means scrap wood. I like the feel of these bells when playing, seems like the extra little lip helps playability.
