Spring Creek Calls

Chicken BBQ,  ice cream and patriotic music by a brass band. My home town, Marshall, MI. I've attended for 30+ years. Chicken is finger lickin good every year.

Sounds like fun, especially the BBQ Chicken  ...

We've got the grandkids visiting and swimming in the pool, later we'll be grilling out. Happy Independence Day fellow patriots.

I photographed some fireworks. I did not get to go to town to do it because my back was acting up and I had to take my Oxycodone but some people in the neighborhood were shooting some off and it was fun to photograph them. Always fun to learn to photograph something new.

Gotta love a small town Fourth of July celebration.   :icon_thumright:

The local paid department was running short so they asked the VFDs around if they could help cover the city firework show. I took a brush truck in. Its a good thing too because the few guys the city had were running ragged. Immediately after the show a structure fire with reported victims trapped came in from a nearby town. Since we were close we went up to help. Got back to the station in a severe thunderstorm about 0100.
