Here are a few pics from South Dakota. The beautiful lake you will see trout pictures from is Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park. Absolutely gorgeous lake with some fantastic trout fishing. Didn't catch any huge trout, but caught ALOT of trout. While the wife relaxed in the car I took the boys rock climbing around the lakes edge and we got into the trout bigtime, catching and releasing easily over 100 trout in an hour and a half. We used 1/8 oz renosky lures keystone jig in perch color. By the time we were done fishing, the trout had tore the jigs to pieces and we barely were able to keep them on the jigs. Just cast 'em out, count to 7 and slowly retrieve the jigs, constantly twitching the rod tip to impart action into the jigs. Enjoy. God bless.

Cool pictures!! I love that area of the country!! I want to take Wifey there one summer. She don't turkey hunt so she might not like it as much as I do but it is really pretty country.

The rocks where we caught the majority of the trout. No one else was fishing there. Guess it was too much work to get up/over to where we caught 'em at. God bless.

The Wife and I was there five or six years ago. I really like it out there. The day we were at Sylvan lake someone fell off those rocks, hit the one's below and bounced into the lake. They had all kinds of rescue people out there.
Saw several Mule Deer beside the store at Sylvan Lake also. I''ve been wanting to go back since we left.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

Custer State Park is beautiful.
Did you hike the Sunday Gulch trail while at that lake? My kids really enjoyed it last summer.
