Tighty Whities, Crocs and Calamine Lotion.
Sounds like your trying to get permission to hunt on private land as well.
Already have it, do you think I would bother with the Tighty Whities on public?
White tyvek suit and make your own pattern ...
That's for Winter deer and predator hunting silly!
Depends ,you have to go hunting first ... LOL ... Silly ....

Here in Eastern NC, Realtree Extra Green works well.  North Mountain Gear makes their Leafy suits in Green as well.  This is what I use during our entire season, and it blends in with our pines really well.

My favorite spring pattern is trying to pattern turkeys!

Well I thought that was already established.

obsession for me, but I agree sit still probably the best pattern available., that and picking a good hideout.

If you sit still it won't matter.
If you don't sit still it still won't matter what type Camo you wear.

I've never felt the need to add more green to the camo after green up. There's still dead leaf browns and tree bark grays and shadow. You match that and most always there'll naturally be some greens between you and the bird. Sitting up against a tree I honestly think added greens look more unnatural. And while of course sitting still is key in any hunting situation and movement will get you picked in a second, there are always folks who say, "You don't even need to wear camo if you sit still," and that has always seemed silly to me. If it was just a matter of sitting still owls might be flamingo pink. There's a reason predators evolved with camo.

I know right?
That's why they never killed any turkeys before camo patterns were invented.

Common sense is always a good thing in the turkey woods..
Drab colors over flamingo pink.  who'd have ever thought?

Camo is mostly for hunters, not prey.  Never seen a camo coyote and they blend fine. I have killed plenty of birds with just plain brown pants on.  With that said, if cool enough, I like my leafy top - I think more for 3D than camo though. Probably just in my head.

I live in Florida, so I start and end with pretty much the same.  Our woods here in North Florida were very green on opening day thanks to a warm February.

Probably much more important is making sure that there are no UV brighteners in whatever camo you choose. I bought a black light some years ago, and check every piece of my camo before going to the woods. They are not that expensive, and you might be surprised to know that some reputable camo producers camo will light up like a Christmas tree to the eyes of a deer or turkey. That black light will let you know about it before they do and hurt your feelings at crunch time. It is not the pattern that is the issue when that happens, but that some manufacturers do not take the trouble to avoid having UV in their stuff when they produce their material for their hunting clothes.

This is true.
