NC Youth Season

daughter and i went to farm for annual youth hunt. she hammered him at 30 yards sitting against giant chestnut oak with me beside her calling and snickering in her ear.  said gobbler and her had previous history from last year on 3 different occasions which made this special. heaviest turkey ever weighed on farm for last 16 years at 23.4 lbs.,11" beard, 1 1\4 spurs. ol bob trumphet and townsend pot had him fired up. very memorable and somewhat emotional time spent with her.

Congrats to the young huntress. Love it when you can close the story on a gobbler that you have history with!  Think that monster should head to your favorite taxidermist. Thanks for sharing.
