Spring Creek Box

 Ok guys yall talked me into it. I just pulled the trigger on a short box from Mike.  Its purple heart over red cedar. Thinking itll be a good un. I can say Mike has been a pleasure to work with .

You'll be happy, very nice guy, had some dealings with him and met him at Turkey Trot Acres in 2018 where I picked up a call he repaired for me. He plays a box rather well too.

 Thank you Sir       Ive moved away from boxes over the years and mostly use mouth calls. last year I entered into the trumpet world and this year I'll be using my first wingbone from EZ. All that said Ive never owned a decent short box other than an old Lynch foolproof. I did own a sweet hen box that i should ever have sold but thats another story lol.

If it was the one that was in classifieds a couple days ago it is a great looking call to, that particular piece of Purple Heart had alot of nice color

 To follow up on this. I received the call in an amazing fast time.
  My first impression:
  This is a no bling call. Not to say it doesn't look good but its a hunters call not a show call.
  Very well made and I believing it'll last a lifetime.
  The price is very reasonable.
  as far as sound goes its as you guys say, "full of turkey"
  No tuning needed and it runs perfect.
   I cant wait to hunt it.

I've had three of Mike's boxes in my hands, and that is how I would describe each of them.

I have one and recently bought another one for my son. They are great! I couldn't care less what a call looks like as long as it sounds good and Mike's sound great to me.
