I carry some Carmex on me to keep lips moist. Also, an old timer told me chewing tobacco is a trick to keep plenty of good playing saliva. Needless to say, I only chew tobacco during the spring

My dentist complimented me with active saliva glands so never really had any issues until it is pretty cold and then my lips are stiff, that is easy to take care of with moving them around as I walk to listen and all.
