I wonder how long it will be before what was old is new again ??   Specifically...... When is Federal (or someone else) gonna come BACK out with a 15g/cc shot shell like the original Federal Heavyweight because folks are tired of, or just plain refuse to pay $8 - $15 per shell for H-18 ??

Man those HW were the ticket for affordable 20ga shells.

They are awesome shells. I'm just switching to TSS now as I ran out of the heavyweights. I would buy a ton if they ever came back.

They sure were !!!  That's why I bought up every last one I could get my hands on.  I don't see me ever having to buy into the TSS crazine$$ for our 20 gauges.

With the increased ammo and component prices, if 15g came back it probably wouldn't be that much cheaper the 18g tss


at BPI 15g #7 breaks down to 3.99 for 1.5ozs of shot.
18g #9 is 4.65 for 1.5 oz of shot, this is before shipping.

so 66 cents cheaper per shell for 15g #7 shot, I doubt we'll see 22 to 24 dollar a box fed #7 shot if it came back

I have plenty of HW 7's also. Great load.  I actually like them more than TSS 9's.
I did buy plenty of the federal TSS though. The bass pro add that sold them for 15 a box. I refuse to pay what they want for them now.
