Kinda like a Henry Davis style

Been messing around in the shop since it below zero outside.  In fact, it was 16 years ago this week that a long cold snap causing cabin fever to set in and led me into making turkey calls.  The rest is history.  Here are two Cocobolo trumpets.  One is a design that I was playing around with and sort of like a Henry Davis style with the ferrule having a smooth transition to the barrel.  Instead of having a wingbone mouthpiece it has a faux ivory acrylic mouthpiece.  The other is my more plain or "Turpin" style with a black delrin mouthpiece.  Thanks for the look.

Wow I like that Brian. How does she run?

Runs very easy, sounds just like my usual design.  All the dimensions are exactly the same, the internals are the same, lengths of barrels and mouthpieces are the same.  Just a different outside dimension.

Nice! Any plans to add a groove to the design to secure a lanyard?

I was thinking about a lanyard groove, could still add it.

Very nice Brian.  I like the Davis look, especially the smooth transition from brass to wood.  I've been thinking about that for a while.  I like the Davis call I have and consider it one of my favorites.  I plan on getting more Davis trumpets.
