Don't get me wrong, I do too. I just wanted something a little different than anyone else's. I'm really digging it. I got it out this morning since it's all dry and cured now. I love it. The ultra flat top coat really looks good.

The weathered stain looks amazing!
You care to explain the process? Did you remove the finish with a stripper or just sand it? If sanded, how did you get the finish off the checkering? After the stain, how did you weather it?

I sanded the original stain off with 80grit, then 120grit and then 240 grit. Then I wet it down, heat gun dried, and then dry wiped it off. I then applied the stain and let it set over night. I started sanding it again in the morning lightly with 240 grit on the high points to get it worn looking , cleaned it, and then did a top coat. I may have sanded a little too hard on some of the checkering. I wasn't too worried about it.

They are 20". I'm not sure what a coach gun is.

"Coach gun" is a term used to describe a Side by side shotgun used to guard astagecoach. Just a short barrel shotgun.

can you tell me what sling mount you used? I have a yildz 20 and want to mount a sling, need the brale style you have here! thanks
