So Ford hunt is redwood burl dense? Reason I ask is I have some amazing big leaf maple burl , but it's so light I fear it won't make a good trumpet. I'm almost out of it and don't want to waste any if it won't make a good trumpet. Thanks

I'm thinking , if you get it stabilize it'll be very very hard
