Hunted 8 states this spring and was lucky enough to tag a gobbler in each. Got to call up a couple more for some good friends as well. First morning carrying a gun was April 4th and I wrapped it up on June 5th.

Tennessee

Missouri - worked this bird for three hours opening morning. He was drumming and gobbling just out of sight for 45 min before he finally broke and stepped out at 35yds. Ended up being a jake. Would have never guessed it.

Later that week I called this gobbler up for a good friend of mine.

I was invited to volunteer for a Missouri Disabled Sportsmen turkey hunt. We were lucky enough to get Josh on a nice MO longbeard. Incredible experience - I'll be doing this each spring going forward.

My buddy's Mass gobbler

My Iowa gobbler. Called up a longbeard and a jake. Longbeard was in the back when I saw them crossing a draw on their approach. They stepped out at 25 yds behind a fallen tree. I shot the gobbler in the back and watched the longbeard nervously walk off. Not sure how I managed to mix that one up...

Called this gobbler up for my uncle the next morning. He called up my first turkey for me 18 years ago. It always nice when I get to return the favor.

After having gobblers inside gun range four different times and missing a gobbler at 47 yds in a wide open field, (turkeys sure have a way of keeping you humble...) I was finally able to connect on a beautiful MN gobbler.

Finished up my season on June 5th with the first gobbler I've ever killed in June. No one had told him it was summer as he was gobbling like it was late April. Worked him for three hours and was about to leave when I gave him one last call and he about blew my hat off with his gobble at 35 yds. He went into strut and I was able to get the gun on him. Called again to get him to lift his head and closed the door on my 2022 season.
