Curious if anyone wants to share how their new gear for the 2022 season worked out? New vests, chairs, calls, guns?

For me it was the Cabelas speed seat, although not new but new to me, it worked perfectly, no complaints. Just the right amount of storage and the butt pad is phenomenal! It's nice and thick and retracts into position as it should. Two thumbs up!

I bought the gear carriers from Cabelas that strap onto your Gobbler Lounger.   I only used them once but they worked pretty well.  I'd like some more time with them.  I will probably buy another lounger that comes with these and the three point sling/backpack straps that come with it.  I hear the sling/strap thing makes a big difference.  It seems Cabelas has trouble keeping them in stock tho.  I'm intrigued with the concept, even tho the water bottle holder wasn't big enough.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Didn't really buy any new "gear", but I did have some luck with a couple new calls. I called up two birds with my TJ Johnson Fiddle Box along my Buster Halford acrylic pot call.

It was my first year ever having a turkey tote and in one particular instance, when a bird flopped off the side of a mountain and missed every tree for 300yds, it was an absolute godsend! I'd probably still be down in there wrestling that thing if it wasn't for the tote.

Used my 28 gauge Beretta with a Holosun green dot exclusively this season. Had a heck of a season and that little gun was money. Doubt I'll ever shoot anything else at a gobbler.

I really enjoyed carrying my new Franchi Affinity Elite 3 turkey model 20 ga. with Swampfox Kingslayer green circle dot... I also enjoyed my Escort 410 auto ...

West Augusta

I bought a Nomad vest.  It sucked.  It weighs way too much even empty and the seat removed.  Ended up buying an Alps vest that was much better.  It was laid out much better and lighter.

Holosun 507c with green circle. Put the circle around 5 heads and they were all dead at the trigger pull. I like it a lot better than the single red dot covering a bird's head.

I also tried out a Grounded Impact vest that I really like so far.

Year 2 for me using a Pack Rabbit Chest rig in lieu of a traditional vest or satchel bag. I like to travel light whether I'm run and gunning or making long sits.  Fully waterproof including the zipper seams, plenty of storage for an assortment of calls, truck keys, and a small water bottle.

I looked at the pack rabbit. It looks good!

I went with what I will refer too as my warm weather rig, Alaskan Guide Gear Denali Bino chest pack, two range finders packs and a water bladder pack on the back.

When my original order arrived I was concerned with storage and ordered the back pack and water bladder.

I like the water bladder, but it does make me sweat on my back. I have ample room to carry two pot calls, mouth calls, large binos, strikers, water and snacks in the back plus a tote.

I used a tote with this warm weather rig, it gets blood on your leg. I do like a vest for packing a turkey, much better than a tote! Weight is much better distributed in the vest than a tote. If less than a mile a tote might not be bad but a couple miles is a pain with a tote.

The weight reduction of the warm weather rig was very nice. I believe guys running just diagram calls could go really light with what I had, maybe 5-6 pounds counting water for the day and TP.
