Wife had clients today so we decided to hunt this afternoon. Got to a small piece of property we own to find the fire department there putting out a 3 acre grass fire the neighbor started. fire department was just leaving so we decided to try it anyway. Walked up to the center of the property set up the Barronett blinds field shield I helped design set out a DSD Jake decoy settled in and let 2 series of yelps out on my new aluminum call I've been building. I set the call down look to my left and a gobbler is on a dead sprint to us. Gets to the decoy in strut, I did a loud putt he stretches out and he's done. The whole hunt was maybe 8 mins. Completely insane. Used my Gaboon ebony with my aluminum call and my custom hand loaded shells. Out of her Rob Roberts Custom gun works 20ga.







Few acres burned. Glad it didn't get into our pines.







Barronett blinds field shield. Works great with there is no foliage



This aluminum call has brought 9 to their demise so far this spring.
