Truglo Magnum Gobble Dot Issues??

Has anyone else had issues with the rear sight? Once I tighten down the setscrew for the windage and then loosen it again for an adjustment, the rear sight will not fasten down where I need it to. It's like there is a small indent from the setscrew and it will only go back to that original  position where I tightened it down. Extremely frustrating. Have others experienced this as well?

Thanks!

Take a shot pellet..tss or some really small lead bb whatever you got..And stick it in there..You tighten the screw down and it won't allow it to track back!! Works for me

tha bugman

never had any problems such as this.  I just use threadlock on the screws

Gooserbat

Had the same thing happen.  A small lead shot works.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Really common with aluminum parts and steel set screws!  I filed mine smooth once.

What a poor design. Wasted a bunch of ammo messing with this POS sight.

It is a bit of a hassle, a sleeve of some sort would help, a lot of the issue is from tightening too much also.  Mine has been set and on my current gun for about 6 seasons now, so once it is set your good to go!

What do you mean by a sleeve?

Thanks!

Maybe a shim between the set screw and base, the lead shot is doing the same thing, a flat piece of steel between the set screw and base, like a washer with no hole in it.
