Box calls with an aluminum paddle. Good or bad?

Anybody using a box call with an aluminum paddle? If so what are your thoughts on it? Can you get a quality sound from it?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, tired, beat, thoroughly used up and totally worn out from chasing turkeys and loudly proclaiming; "WOW -- What a Ride!"

I have a long box and short box from Roger Parks. Fantastic calls and killer sound. The long box will do pretty much anything you want from kee's to gobbles with multiple birds within it. Good amount of rasp with excellent rollover.

There's another fellow named Frank Kochenderfer............he posts video sound files on Facebook from time to time. Some VERY impressive sounding calls, IMHO.

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill. I just gotta be there at the right time..... on the day he wants to die.

Roger Parks hands down is the best... i have his long boxes and his new short handle box with aluminum lids ... Roger's knowledge of gobbler sounds and pot calls are the best also if you're looking for a gobbler call.

Got a Roger Parks long box, aluminum over rhododendron. Raspy and nasally as a cheap call girl with a 3 pack a day habit. The pressured birds on public land here in TN have wanted to do business with her more than once this season.

Thanks for the information. I don't know Roger Parks but Frank Kochenderfer is an old coworker of mine. I called him and we talked for 30 or 40 minutes about old times, old friends and turkey hunting. It was nice to reconnect and the first time we talked in over 35 years! He is going to make me a call or two.
