Winchester LB XR's serious problem or common thing

these items are from Winchester LB XR's.  the wads are from a 3" 12ga.  the black end is from a 3" 20ga.   I've never seen the end fly off like that but then again it may have happened and I just never saw them.  the wads from the 12ga breaking like that is also a mystery for me.  has anyone ever experienced this and if so what causes it.

thanks in advance

WOW, almost 200 views and nobody has had a LB wad come apart like this and I had two in one day?

I've found a few of my 3.5" and they were in tact.

I have shot both 3" and 3.5" an to be honest never really looked for a wad on purpose. I have seen them on the ground, but never took the time to pick one up. Are you having pattern troubles?

sswv

thanks for the replies. no OJR, the patterns are awesome on both guns. the 12ga averages 225 plus in the 10" at 40yds with the LB #6 and the pattern is pretty smooth every shot and the 20ga averages about 125 in the 10" at 40yds with the LB #6.  can't complain about the patterns just curious about the wads.

I started shooting these this year and have only payed attention to my patters. I haven't found the wads but will look the next time I shoot them. They pattern great in my A5 and Jebbs .660

Just saw this, the wads I have found seemed intact.

Then I guess it's not a problem as far as killing a turkey goes. That's good to know. Next time a shoot one I'll make sure to find the wad.

Had some issues with the LBX loads in 3.5 last year but didn't notice issues with the wads.

Ihuntoldschool

It is a common thing.  It is NOT a problem.

If the gun is patterning great I wouldn't give it a seconds worth of thought.

Sasha and Abby

if the patterns look good, you are NOT having a wad problem...
