Quote from: dzsmith on May 04, 2022, 12:02:35 PMIn my experience with multiple barrels and multiple 870s the .665 constriction is a tad big for 6s. Just my opinion. With a jellyhead .660 and a 28" barrel and lbxr 6s 13/4 oz I was able to achieve 250 in the 10 at 40. With a sumtoy .655 I was able to get closer to 270 in the 10 at 40. With a 21" barrel and the .655 I was able to achieve 240 in the 10 at 40. Didn't use the .660 with the 21 being the pattern was what I considered perfect with the .655. I had previously shot nitro 4,5,7s with the .660 jellyhead and the 28" barrel and it patterned about the same mid 200s in the 10 at 40 but heavy shot nitros back then were 60 dollars a box. Mag blends 5,6,7 were 40 a box and they also patterned about the same. The lbxr 6s were 20 bucks a box. The best for the money by far. With all this said , if you can archieve 200 or better in the 10 at 40 I wouldn't worry about it.
