Yes, had a buddy that raised wild turkeys. He would always breed Jake's because he sold his gobblers. He raised alot of poults whose daddy's was Jake's.

I'm not sure that I can buy into a tamed jake or penned up jake being on the same level as one in the wild.

To clarify my post on this.  Jakes become sexually viable around 11 months to 1 yr old. Jakes hatched late will not be viable until they reach this age.
