Mossy Oak Bottomland Old School Pattern

Do you remember WHERE YOU FIRST saw Mossy OaK Bottomland Camo? Several of us guys from our NWTF local chapter were helping with the NWTF Convention in Memphis Tennessee and we were all excited to see the new bottomland camo made from a bag of dirt and leaves that day. We all had to buy us pants , a long sleeve tee shirt, hat and they had these non - insulated jackets. At the time i guess we thought we needed the bottomland camo to kill gobblers. We all bought us a suit of it and the cost all together was less than 75 dollars.. those were the good old days. Times sure have changed. I guess I'm showing my age.. LOL....

Probably my earliest recollection was when I saw the Original Bottomland 870 SPS shotgun in the early 90's. To this day, that camo on those guns is my favorite pattern. Last season, I leaned my Gun against a huge pine tree, walked out to glass a power line. When I turned and looked toward the tree where the gun was, it seemed to vanish. It blended in so well with the bark, and leafy ground cover.....this will always be a favorite pattern with the Greenleaf a very close second.

Guy I used to hunt with bought some when it first came out.  I was wearing Crumley's Trebark.

I can remember I had a really cool mossy oak shirt. It had the big green leaves on it. I don't think it was green leaf it was something else. It was a really tough shirt and I would wear it beating around in the woods. I wish I had kept some of those old clothes.

The first I saw it was in a magazine add right about the time it came out in the late 80s. I called around and found some for sale about an hours drive away in a gun shop.
All they had was stuff 2 sizes too big for me but I had to have it and bought it anyway.
At the beginning there were 2 patterns. Bottomland and hill country. The hill country had more gray in it. It was discontinued but really looked like the current new bottomland.

In Tupelo Ms at the first Hunters Haven store. They built a bigger store where they are now. That was probably 1988 or so.

same here ... I have a "lucky " Greenleaf tee shirt I got from them probably in 1987-8 I still wear it even though it looks like a pirates flag with holes in it ...I remember saving up my money and sending it away to them ..those were some nice duds back in the day ..

I have a near mint mo bottom land and Greenleaf coat from back in the day ....made in USA tags and looks new
