Anyone replaced the Franchi Affinity factory bolt release?

I bought the oversized "frag" bolt release button and I can't get the old factory button off.  Mine is a 2017 Affinity, but the website says that it will work.  I have made a mess of the factory button and need help getting it out.

I'm in the process of re-wrapping the gun and now I'm stuck.

I read somewhere those are screwed on and loctited from the factory. Throw a little heat on it (to too much with the aluminum receiver) and unscrew counter clock wise....

After putting this out here, I finally got ahold of someone at Franchi.  Not that simple.  Although the website offered the "button", it never mentions that you need to buy a THREADED bolt release to go with that button.  I have really scarred mine up trying to remove it.  --There was actually a pin you needed to punch out....  however, the button is useless without the actual lever made for it.  Franchi dropped the ball on their website.

You can't drill and tap your original button and install the oversized button into it?
