I hunt a lot of public land, if I see that someone is in a area I pulled in, I just move on. No sense messing up each others hunt or fussing over a bird . I have my share of people messing my hunt up as well. Hope all of you have a fantastic season this year!

I agree man majority of the people I run into on public are good people but there is a lot of disrespectful ones as well, glad to see you are one of those.

Try this out, buddy. Quit putting the name of the state in the videos like all of your YouTube idols do. Especially since basically everybody prefers that you not do that.

Luckily I haven't had too many bad experiences but I've heard a lot of bad stories. I like to be able to roam around too much to park right beside somebody. I did have a couple guys park right down the road from me a couple years ago and tried to sneak into a bird I was working. The bird was almost in shotgun range and I heard a series of yelps behind me...and then I heard the exact same series and immediately knew it was a person. Two guys came right up behind me. They had no chance of killing that turkey and thanks to them I lost my chance as well.

I will put it in a nicer way. I am sure the people of the states you are traveling to would appreciate you not putting the state you are in. You are in a state that has cut its limit ,doing all kinds of studies , talking about shortening season and looks plenty crowded to me on public land. Why not just post your hunt and leave the name of state out of it just out of respect for the residents?  You guys will regret It when more states start limiting non resident hunters and putting quotas in place. It's already happening. If it's all about just sharing the hunt , by all means share the hunt if you feel the need to do so, but why not just leave out the state you are in?  Congrats on the nice Gobbler!

 I ride on. Lots of people don't. It burns my butt when I have left my vehicle and I can hear or see someone pull in beside me. It only goes downhill from there!
Have had many issues in WV with people parking right beside me. I took a hiatus from public for several years because of it. Due to schedule/weather I hunted public about five years ago. I drove past maybe five vehicles, went about a mile OR so up the road and stopped. Just so happened I was on the bottom end of a good hollar and heard one gobble. I moved in. Was almost in position and heard a guy coming down the road, same direction as I did, past my truck maybe by hundred yards and stopped and started calling. Luckily the turkey never gobbled at him. I just shook my head, why would you do that. Why? It makes no sense.

I 100% respect pulling up to a spot and leaving if another vehicle is there. Simply put, if someone gets up early enough to be ahead of me, they are my kind of hunter. So far, I never had to move on. I require little sleep, so getting to my spots early is an understatement. I always have a plan B, being courteous to other hunters is always something I practice and preach. We are all a fraternity, strength in numbers will hopefully keep our sport going for generations to come...be safe, best of luck to all this season...

 I respect all hunters in the woods . If I know you are there I turn around , if you are working a bird I might hide and listen , then leave or just leave . Duck hunting has taught me how to use parking places or access points . Many a deer hunt with the question which way  you going . I usually drive past someone in a parking spot turkey hunting because if you park next to them you are apiece of ......  I guess my question is how many 500 acres do I give you , Do you own both sides of the road ? I have gotten up early to get my spot and get stepped on by hunters that heard the gobble and came from another access . I have witnessed arm conflicts with pistols by turkey hunters at public access parking . Some people feel they own them . Call me frustrated .To me the respect is in the woods much more than the truck . I pass a parking place due to a vehicle , move to the next and he runs and guns through me . But all is good because he parked in an empty spot . 
  I am sure I will be crucified for thinking if done properly you can park next to someone and share the woods . I am 65 years old , bought my first call in the 70's and get lectured about where I park . maybe I am getting grumpy . If I step on you in the woods I'm sorry , I spend as much time listening and looking for you as I do a bird . I much prefer your respect in the woods than at the truck . To many people think they done good by parking at the next spot and don't give you a second thought in the woods .
  I have no problem sharing the woods , parking spot , a campfire or a pot of beans with other turkey hunters that have respect in the woods .

 Dah and Hillclimber make 100% awesome points. It is about respect in the woods and not all public land is created equal. If a guy goes on a walk and runs into you, well he is there to hunt as you are. But we should respect each other in the woods. If someone is working a bird back off.
We do all own the ground, but nobody comes out the winner if we are battling against each other.

 Questions.
If someone camps at a gate do they get the spot behind while they are camped there?

What if they just leave the camper there is it still theirs to expect to hunt alone?

What if when you roll in they are still lights out in bed?

Always variables and sceneries, never an easy answer to a question. All of our morals and ethics can lead us in different decisions. Respect in the end is a big factor in making decisions, lots of guys have 0 respect for others while in the woods. Their decisions will show that.

   Some huge Public Land areas often have limited parking- although those few parking areas are large in size. Spring Hunters will have to park there near other Turkey Hunters . Just walk that 1 1/2 miles in early to find yourself a secluded area. Works for me.
    Also in recent years- the Hikers,Mountain Bikers, even Dog Walkers like to get out at Dawn to see + hear the Wildlife. The days of them starting to show up at 9.30am are long gone.
    Public Land is just that.
