I caught this cool pic of turkey taking flight and thought I would share.

Nice capture.   Is that a gobbler also?
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

That's definitely a gobbler. Cool pic!

Honestly, I thought so, but the picture before was showing 8-10 definite hens, but now I wonder if it was just a mixed group on the soybeans.

Here is the before picture

my buddy sent me two pics of turkeys flying like that mid day and i asked what made them fly? Someone, yotes, they just don't fly mid day..

Sixes

Lots of yotes and bobcats on this place and hogs, so it could of been anything

Changed it to turkey :happy0064:

Hey Sixes,  I think the bird you caught flying in the first pic was a hen.
The bird on the left in the first pic is definitely a gobbler. I blew the photo
up and you can plainly see the beard.

That was my original thinking. It has to be just a mixed group feeding. I'm just glad to see some birds coming back to this property. 6-8 years ago, it was common to see flocks that had 50+ birds in most AG fields. 3-4 years ago, it was rare to see a bird. Now, they seem to be coming back some as I have out 3 cell cameras and I have been getting birds on every camera almost daily

That's good news. Hopefully they can rebound to previous levels.

Great picture, I haven't had a picture of turkeys in over a year, coyotes have been on camera more in that time, hope Turkeys come back.
