Sx4 barrel on Sx3?

Need a new barrel for my 3 1/2" SX3 -- would a 3 1/2" SX4 barrel work in my SX3 receiver?


Winchester CS says that the SX2/Gold/Silver barrels are compatible but said no to the SX4 but wanted to check if anyone has actually tried it?
