Hello I have a Halloran Twisted Sister on the way and have a question. I know the initial condition is done with a stone but when the time comes to recondition again, can I still use a stone or should I switch to something less aggressive like dry wall screen? Thanks

Keep using the Stone and you'll be fine

I switched from stone to drywall screen. Stone just was not even across the call. Could just be my stone but drywall screen just seemed more consistent when calling.

I used two different stones, same results.

Good to know and since I have a stone coming I will try this first. Appreciate all the responses.

Use red slate dust.   Works better than just reconditioning.  I condition the red slate then use the. Remainder of the dust on the surfacing stone on the glass/crystal.

Not 100% sure what you mean. Do you mean after conditioning your red slate put the dust directly into the glass or crystal then use the stone on it? Got my.interest peaked on this.
