Jay has been hunting hard and got 2 more.  First was yesterday, 19.5 lbs, 1" spurs, 9.75" beard.

The second may push us up the line.  Jay says 2 beards, 10.5 and 9.5 inches, 20 lbs, and 1" and 1 1/16" spurs.  Definite upgrade.

Strong work jay.  Only wish my double beard would have been so nice.

Just got back from Kansas. 2nd bird I gave rough estimates in the field, before actually measuring/weighing. Weight was a bit of a shock, but this bird looked starved to death when I cleaned it. He's been breeding and not eating. Same with the first bird,  but not quite as bad.
Weight only 17" 6 oz. 1st beard 10.50 and second beard 8.75. Spurs both 1 1/16. Total score 77.125. Good bird, but would like to have put him down earlier in the year, when he was a lot heavier. I'll get it officially enterred tonight with the pictures.
