Honestly ...We’re in contention this year!

I put the pencil to paper, boys we’re honestly in contention this year.  Looks like we need 21.75 points to actually be there. That’s only one bird from Rut, Wildspur or Dr J that scores 67.9309. Now, that’s a stud bird for sure, and we can shave points off that bird if we have an upgrade come in from one of the rest of us.  Heavy Easterns are the normal points birds. I’ve only got Idaho Merriams left to hunt. So I’d say an upgrade from me is unlikely. Headed to northern Idaho tomorrow and may hop over to Eastern Washington depending on bird activity.

It’s been a long time for this team and we’re definitely in the race.  A couple of upgrades would narrow the gap. This has been a great run for OUR  team

I'm still trying for an upgrade brothers!! I thought my season was over.... BUT....I now own a house with acreage in Tennessee. I was outside unpacking the PODS unit, a cow moos and what do I hear? You got it!!! Gobble, gobble!!! There's a gobbler 300 yards from my new place!!! I mouthed out some owl calls, even though I'm still getting over a cold and it sounded like crap, but he gobbled anyway!!!

Doing the best I can gents.   Alot going on!  Most of my birds were in the 50's.  Never got a stud bird!

Going to be up to you guys. Birds are all but done here in WV. Been a rough go at it. Only had one bird work the few times I went out and my buddy killed it, a 22 pound double beard with 1.25 spurs. Only makes sense it would’ve came up his side of the point lol.

Yep my season ended yesterday.  My birds gobbled really well up until the end. I did not get a second Pa tag this year so time for me to start putting the stuff away which is a sad time of year.

American Strutter on the Crusaders posted a 76+ point bird. It’s like a 13 point upgrade to their team score.  That’s a hell of a bird!  Those boys kill some stud birds.

I'm done guys. I'm concentrating on moving in to my new place now. I've got S Dakota, Wyoming, SC and Tennessee lined up so far for next spring. Good luck to anyone who's still hunting!!
