Do we know if these have been updated to address the moving of the straps? I really like what I see, but if that's an issue, I have a hard time paying that price.

I looked at it in Nashville and it impressed me more than any other vest in the show.  Now turkey vest are more personal than your socks and underwear so it might not be your cup of tea but I liked it.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

To give an update, I bought the grounded vest and got in in a few days ago. It's a super impressive vest. I actually like it a lot. The only complaint I have is the box call pocket. It doesn't have the extra flap to separate the paddle and box. Not a huge deal, but just seems to be behind in my opinion. The vest fits kind of big, I'm 6' 2" about 205 Lbs and with all the straps cinched down completely it's a little sloppy and I have about 4 inches of room in the front. If you're a bigger guy, you wouldn't have a problem. As far as everything else, it's awesome. I like how everything is contained together and if you like to carry a lot it has plenty of room/pockets for you to do so

I received the grounded vest in the mail and it is sweet. I've looked at and tried on a lot of turkey vests but this is the best by far hands down. The weight is lighter than I thought it would be and it just fits good. No complaints so far. Very well made and thought thru. Plenty of storage with lots of details. Solid vest.

Hi ClayR - We are still running the same style buckles that we did last season. Some people have had issues with them whiles others have not. It seems to be stemming from a vest weight difference from one person to the next. A simple fix is to run the webbing back through the buckle. I know that it is not ideal to do that but it keeps the buckles from loosening up. We will be making changes on the next production run.

.... I know its not the "perfect" vest. Like Gooserbat stated vest are very personal items and every person likes something a little different. I know we have a long ways to go with this company but we are willing to learn on where we need to improve at. The buckles are one of those areas.

Ordered one last night based on this thread.  Hope it fits my style.  It's been 8 yrs since I went through the headache of buying a new vest.  Will report back once received.

I switched over to the Grounded vest last year and love it!  I do have to tighten the straps some but feel like the level of customizing is worth an occasional adjustment. Probably has to do with the fact that if there is a pocket to put a call in, I'll load it up! Making sure that everything was good to go for the first weekend again last night and it just amazes me how much space the vest has and how well thought out it is.

Does the seat stay up?  Real peeve of mine with magnetic seats, I prefer magnet and straps

Yes seat has a very strong magnet it stays up- I hunted mine all year through 3 states last year it's holding up fine!! Good luck!

I rec'd the vest and it is very nice.  Lots of room in the vest for calls and gear.  Not a fan of the buckles on the shoulder straps as my gun seems to line up on them. May need to play with the straps a little more.  Still have to figure out the box call holder.  My securing straps slide off as I try to slide call into the box sleeve.  Gonna miss the front D ring on front of my old vest for box call #2.  Seat is nice, thick, and appears would be comfy for a long sit.  Good strong magnet on the seat pad.  Overall, a thumbs up.

I recently bought a Grounded vest, but have not hunted yet to give an honest overall opinion. Just not too sure about it, as there are features I do like, but wonder about others?

I liked the idea of all calls being contained, vs. vests with separate pockets on the outside for everything, where the call holders on this vest are inside, so that was a plus. The thing that most impressed me was the thick seat with a very strong magnet, liked this feature the best.

Two other features that interested me in this vest was a reinforced pruner pocket, and water bottle pockets, being I do always carry pruners, and a water bottle, as I don't use a bladder. As these two features were the most disappointing to me, the pruner pocket said it was lined with a heavy material to keep it from poking through after time. It was lined. but only on one side where I can see it wearing through, the side towards yourself over time, as this side is thin material and not lined like the other side, makes no sense, The other feature with water bottle holders are a very thin elastic nylon material that I no how can see them lasting, as the water bottle stretches the material tight, to only get chewed up by thorns and like. These were the 2 most disappointing things, as I like these features, but not how they offered it.

Other complaint, the snaps that tighten up the game bag, come unsnapped just by lifting the vest, very cheap snaps.

I used the vest last year. Loved it. I had an issue with the seat but they stood behind their product and made it right. It's a good vest.

I hunted in the Grounded Impact vest last week in Tennessee.
Overall really like the vest. The shoulder straps didn't slip off and the seat is super comfortable. The back padding is nice too. I like how the outside compartments are fitted when fully zipped. The vest fits different than any other turkey vest I've used. It's more stream lined  when the 3 front buckles are buckled. The buckles are very sturdy. A couple of features I wasn't crazy about are the shell holders are extremely tight but they'll probably loosen up no biggie and the box call holder is a little tight. Other than that it's a great best.
