What calls worked for you this season?
« on: May 02, 2021, 12:58:13 PM »
1.  Matt Fulkerson hen box (bloodwood over English walnut) & MAC green slate in walnut.
2.  Billy Bush Beggin Machine
3.  Jimmy Schaffer crystal

I rotate boxes and pots each time I go out.  All are good.  These just happened to result in punched tags.  Last year's boxes were Richard Hudson hen box and Albert Paul Cost style.

Busters red slate/persimmon matched with Jeff Harrison's frog wood striker to start, fly down with Marlin's misfit red cedar/purpleheart, soft purring, and clucks with Strawser's blue duce, a finisher with Sadler McGraws mouth call "judge and jury"...

Daybreak paduak ceramic I picked up from a forum member this year. It has earned a permanent spot in the vest.

I really don’t know that calling is what got my two birds killed this year with the two sets of soft yelps and five clucks
Bird one was one Yelp and four clucks on a Rut’n’strut slate over glass with a hand made ceramic sticker
Bird two was one Yelp and one cluck getting the hens attention on a Vaughan’s glass over glass with the same ceramic striker
