I use Martins as well and mix 1 oz to 16-20 oz of water.  I bought a small hand pump sprayer from Amazon that works great.

That Harris sprayer at around $10 bucks looks GREAT!  I use a trigger sprayer with the Martin's, I'll have to check into the Harris.  You could completely saturate your clothes in minutes with one of these.

Just a word of advise...Permethrin can been deadly to cats, especially when wet.
Only in concentration percentages that you would never use on your clothing.  On the order of 40%+.  Though some cats can react to as low as 16%.  STILL even higher than the 10% concentrate we get.
Big Al's "Take-em" Style Silhouette decoys Pro-Staff.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind te most.

I use Martin's Permethrin SFR @ 36.8% for $33/qt. as opposed to Martin's @ 10% for $28/pint. As far as final concentrate I generally make it just a bit stronger at, say, .7% rather than .5%. I use my garden sprayer and mix up a gallon which is enough to well dampen my supply of spring turkey clothes and accessories e.g. facemask, gloves, hats, vest etc. Just use the formula (C1) (V1) = (C2) (V2) to see how much to use. C1=36.8, V1 to be determined, C2=.7, V2=desired final amount, in my case 128 oz.

Addendum: I purchased from DIY Pest Control.

Martins 10% Permethrin.  Plenty on Ebay.  1 oz to 20 oz of water and spray away.
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

Went out listening Saturday morning.  I had not yet sprayed my clothes with Sawyers.  Only walked off the road a few hundred yards.  When I got home I found a tick on my leg.  Only had 1 all of last year, also found while scouting.
Sprayed 2 sets of clothes and am will head to get some more after work today.  It's time.

Got my concentrate in today's mail...will be mixing and spraying soon.

Cut N Run

I get Duration from Traveler's Supply online.  Been using it for years for turkey clothes and my travel clothes.  Over 30 years ago I contracted Falciparum Malaria when I was working in the Philippines.  It was brutal and I lost 4 days that I have no recollection of.  I also lost 11 pounds and took a while to recover.  Fortunately, Falciparum is the strain of Malaria that doesn't recur and I have no residual effects (it did put the fear in me though).  One of my co-workers contracted Dengue Fever (also called bone break fever) on the same trip and it absolutely slammed her.  Both are transmitted by mosquito bites, so I don't take them lightly.

Permethrin on your clothes works like a force field to keep those nasty biting ticks, chiggers, and skeeters off and kills 'em. Add a Thermacell, and you're pretty much bug proof.
Be safe out there guys!

I did find a 1 liter hand held pump sprayer on E-bay for 9 and some change.  I had the chance to use it today on my vest and leafy suit.  Mixed 2 ozs of 10% with 38 ozs of water.  I hung everything on the clothes line and was done saturating everything in less than 2 minutes.  BIG IMPROVEMENT from the trigger sprayer.  Thanks for the TIP!
